Today, I contacted Pat Rikes who is in charge of the Annexe Space in the Cornerhouse for a viewing.
Space Information
This fully accessible space with its own private balcony area is located in our new Annexe building. Access to the room is available via our Ground Floor Bar. The space is available for hire for meetings, presentations or social events.
Capacity:
- Theatre style 60
- Boardroom 25 (flexible, please call for further details)
- Cabaret 36 (flexible, please call for further details)
- Standing functions/social events 100
Equipment:
- Projection facilities for DVD and Blu-Ray
- Internet & WiFi connections
- P.A & microphones can be supplied as well as flipcharts, display boards and laptops for presentations (by prior arrangement)
Although it's been described best for meetings and seminars I felt that the space had a lot of potential due to it's images. After speaking with Pat she expressed that the space would be closing down and would not be taking any bookings after september. She also expressed that the space would be moving but again no bookings will be taken for the space until it is fully refurbished which will be past the date for submission.
Overview
Although this space is unavailable I think that it's important that I continue to research into these spaces and check out the availability for them so that I am not left in the dark when it comes to submission. I again will continue to view and contact other spaces in hope the I find something that will fit with my work.
