MOVIE POSTER: OLLY MOSS

I looked into the designer Olly Moss who is well known for his film poster designs, I have looked at this artists work previously and really like the hand drawn and warm tones he uses in his designs. Olly Moss is an English artist, graphic designer and illustrator, best known for his reimagining of movie posters. His work is regularly featured in Empire magazine.

I wanted to know more about how he actually created his work and the reasoning behind it. I came across a lecture he did about his work and watched this and found that his idea's came from actually watching the film and picking themes from that to create them.

After looking at this lecture I decided to collected a selection of his posters to look further at and see the different ways in which he represented the films.

From looking at his work and the lecture he mentioned, other artists that are really influential to look at who were Jason Munn, Geoff Mcfetridge and Noma Bar. Looking at his posters and his idea's behind his execution was something really interesting to look at. He used other techniques such as paper cutting, photography and illustration.
