SECRET 7": ARTIST RESEARCH

Prior to the competition I have heard of the artist Lorde and knew the sort of style she had. However I wanted to look further into what the artist is about to make sure I grasp a strong idea of her style.

I started my research by looking on her blog to see what inspired her visually.

Her blog shows quite a lot of purples and dark colours, which is also represented through what she wears. I want to incorporate similar colours in my artwork as I know this is something she likes. She also blogged a lot of textural patterns also which is something I wanted to incorporate in my initial idea's. This is something I am going to move forward with in my research and the development of my work.
